🍀 What Is 3D Printing and How Does It Work?

Now we can 3D print shoes, houses, parts for rockets, and so much more.

But most of us don’t even know how it works.

3D printing aka additive manufacturing, is a process of creating three-dimensional objects from a digital file.

The process involves adding material layer by layer (stacking), as opposed to traditional subtractive manufacturing methods that involve cutting away material from a solid block

Well, all 3D printing can be broken down into 3 steps:

  • Design

  • Print

  • Post-processing

The first step is designing the object.

This is done using computer-aided design (CAD) software, where the user creates a 3D model of the object they want to print.

This model is then converted into a format that the 3D printer can understand, typically a file format such as STL or OBJ.

The second step is the actual printing process.

The 3D printer reads the digital file, and based on those instructions, lays down layers of material—usually plastic, resin, or metal—to build the object from the ground up.

The final step is post-processing.

Once the object is printed, it might need some finishing touches such as sanding the object to smooth out any rough edges or applying paint or other finishes to enhance the appearance of the final product.

In essence, 3D printing is a process that allows for the creation of complex, three-dimensional objects from a digital file.

Here are some really cool 3D printing objects:

Hire Elite Overseas Talent and Save Up To 80% in labor costs

There is a shortage of technical talent in the US

To help founders and startups, I started a new service called NextScout. At NextScout we connect executives with highly skilled overseas talent, a talent that costs 75% less than a US or UK equivalent.

Unlike other recruitment services, you only pay NextScout when you hire a remote worker who meets your standards — which, thanks to their rigorous candidate selection process, is a near-certainty.

So if you want to reduce your labor cost, at NextScout we can help. Just fill out this short form, and we’ll take care of the rest.

University vs Online Courses 🧵

Most people dunk on course creators for charging a few thousand dollars for their courses.

and Yes, most of them are overpriced for the cookie-cutter material they provide.

It’s not hard to believe why people are leaving and moving abroad

But what about the universities?

Universities are charging 5k per semester where students are barely learning one single skill that can be used in the real world.

When is this going to stop?

Creating Courses is attractive because they can be created once but bring in passive income for years.

Some creators like Kat Norton ("Miss Excel") have quit their jobs because course sales are so lucrative.

In all fairness, most creators are forced to sell courses or products, especially when platforms like Instagram and Twitter barely pay anything to their creators.

Also, there is a list of influencers who have been accused of scamming followers with shoddy courses and plagiarized materials, they all have been exposed by Coffeezilla.

While in my opinion there are many creators with reasonably-priced courses that provide real value.

The truth is you can find answers to most questions for free on Youtube, Google, and ChatGPT, you just need to be willing to take action.
