💰 We Started A Short-Form Video Editing Agency

We started a short-form video editing agency 🧵

One of the most popular growth hacks of 2022: “The Tate Model”

It’s simple.

He appeared on several podcasts.

Next, he leveraged an affiliate system, encouraging his fans to produce bite-sized videos.

These videos went viral status across various social media platforms, making him the most searched individual on Google in 2022.

You can use this technique to promote anything you want.

That’s why we started “Be Roll”

  • To automate video editing for people who are too busy

  • To make your boring content more visually appealing

  • To drive more traffic to podcasts by making them more discoverable to new audiences

We’re making the first video free for people who are a perfect fit, mainly in the education space

Creating content for the last few months I learned a few things:

  • Most people are too busy to edit their own videos

  • Most people’s content is not visually appealing (mainly for educational creators)

  • Podcasts are really hard to grow as they are not very shareable

The earlier you seek external assistance, the smoother your journey will be.

Have you ever wondered how the tech behind Siri works 🧵

I always wondered why Siri only works when you say "Hey Siri"?

And also Is it listening to everything we’re saying?

Well, according to Apple it's not.

Here's how it works:

Listening for "Hey Siri":

Siri uses a tech trick called hot word detection.

It's on the lookout for its name but isn't recording your every word.

Local Processing:

When you say something, the audio is processed locally on your device (iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch) to detect if the wake word "Hey Siri" has been spoken.

This processing is done locally and does not involve sending any data to Apple's servers.

This is why Siri can respond even when you're not connected to the internet.

Privacy Controls:

If the wake word is detected, then the audio that follows (your command or question to Siri) is recorded and sent to Apple's servers for further processing.

This is when Siri tries to understand your request and provide a response. It's important to note that Apple has implemented several privacy controls for this process.

For example, the data is anonymized (not directly linked to your Apple ID), and users have control over whether or not their Siri interactions are used to improve Siri's voice recognition.

Neural Networks:

The technology behind Siri's ability to recognize and respond to a wide range of commands is based on machine learning, specifically deep neural networks.

This allows Siri to understand natural language and respond in a way that feels more conversational.

With the help of my friend Tyler, I enabled Chatgpt on my phone so I say “Hey Siri Help Me” It connects me to chatGPT and I can ask it complex questions.

Here’s a quick tutorial on it:

Half-Baked Business Idea: Behance for video editing

Problem: Hard to find video editors who fit your aesthetic/vibe.

There is a lack of a platform that enables video editors to exhibit their portfolios and skills.

Solution: Platform that connects video editors with creators and businesses

This platform would allow video editors to create personalized profiles to display their portfolios, demonstrate their skills, share their work processes, and highlight their specializations. It would offer various categories, such as film editing, commercial editing, animation, visual effects, and more.

The platform will primarily target video editors, filmmakers, content creators, advertising agencies, and anyone in need of video editing services.

The interface would be a mix of Eyecandy and Behance:
